CHAMPIONSHIP CENTRAL FULL SCHEDULE | LIVE RESULTS

LAWRENCE, Kan. – (May 9) The Seattle University track and field team will be competing in the Western Athletic Conference Outdoor Championship in Lawrence, Kan. from Wednesday through Saturday at the Rock Chalk Park.

The men were picked to finish 6th in the pre-championship coaches’ poll, while the women were picked to finish 7th .

The Redhawks will start their chase for medals on Thursday with the 10k for both the men and the women. Olivia Stein enters the championship having shattered the school record in the 10k just over two weeks ago. Stein broke the previous school record by 40 seconds, and will look to improve after winning the silver medal in last year’s championship.

Last year, the Redhawks came home with a total of eight medals and besides Stein, a few others will be defending medals from a year ago. Abby Wachter won the silver medal in the 400m hurdles last year and Siobhan Rubio took bronze in the 800m. Both the men and the women will also look to defend their gold medals won at the WAC Indoor Championship earlier this year in the distance medley relays.
