CHANDLER, Ariz. – (March 29) The Seattle University women’s golf team finished strong with their best golf in the third round, taking them to finish in second place of the Portland State/Eastern Washington Tournament in Chandler, Ariz., which took place from March 27 through the 29 at the Ocotillo Golf Resort.

The Redhawks were led by Kimberlee Tottori who shot a terrific 1-under-par 71 in the third round to climb up to finish in fifth place overall. In a par 72 course, Tottori shot a 75, 75, and 71 in her three rounds. Linette Chua also golfed her best in the third round, shooting a 2-over-par 74, and finishing tied for 14. Keisha Lugito, who also shot a 74 in the third round, was right behind her as she finished tied for 17th with Nicole Foster.

"Proud of this team,” head coach Marc Chandonnet said excitedly. “We worked hard together this week and they stayed positive. They fought through some tough times and they are starting to show me what I have always believed about their ability. I know this is a special group on the golf course but even more important to mention is just how well they did during the Winter Quarter finishing up with a team GPA of 3.74."

The Redhawks will play one final tournament before the WAC Championship. They will participate in the Wyoming Cowboy Invitational in Maricopa, Ariz. this coming Monday and Tuesday.
