SEATTLE – (Feb. 12) Seattle U men’s basketball returns to Seattle for a final regular-season homestand, beginning a key two-game week on Thursday, Feb. 15 against UTRGV. Tip-off from the Connolly Complex is set for 7 p.m. The Redhawks enter the game with a 17-9 overall record and 6-3 mark in WAC play. The Vaqueros are 14-12 on the year and 5-4 in the WAC. The game will stream live on the WAC Digital Network, and also be available on a variety of OTT platforms including Apple TV, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Roku. Fans can also tune in to KTTH 770 AM in Seattle or online at mynorthwest.com as Dave Grosby returns for his ninth season on air for the Redhawks.

  • The Redhawks went 1-1 in a WAC road swing last week, falling 74-67 at Kansas City, then bouncing back for a 91-81 win at Chicago State.
  • Seattle U’s 17 wins is just one shy of tying the most wins during the program’s modern day DI era while competing against a full DI slate of opponents. The Redhawks went 18-16 in 2014-15, including a pair of postseason wins in the CBI.
  • Five players scored in double figures in the win at Chicago State. The Redhawks are 5-1 when five players have reached double-digit points.
  • Morgan Means has come alive offensively as of late, averaging 15 ppg over the last three outings. Coming off the bench in all three games, the sophomore guard had 14 points against Utah Valley (Feb. 3), 14 points at Kansas City (Feb. 8) and 17 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds at Chicago State (Feb. 10).
  • Matej Kavas hit four threes at Chicago State on Feb. 10, bringing his season total to 71. He leads the WAC in triples, 3-pt percentage (.477) and 3-pters per game (2.8).
  • Matej Kavas (71) and Jordan Hill (61) have combined for 132 three-pointers this season. Their combined effort ranks them 20th in the nation in three-pointers made among two teammates.
  • Aaron Menzies has 20 blocks in his last five outings and ranks second in the WAC, averaging 2.1 per game for the season. His 54 blocks is a modern day DI record and the most for a Seattle U player since David White finished the year with 57 in 2006-07.
