COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – (Jan. 13) Seattle University men’s swimming dropped decisions to Air Force, 174-46, and Incarnate Word, 150-80, Saturday. Greg Raper’s second-place finish in the 50 freestyle highlighted the Redhawks’ day at Colorado College’s Schlessman Pool.

"We had some strong stuff today," said Coach Craig Nisgor. "We put together some good races. Mitchell and Greg had good finishes for us. We swam well, but we have some things to tune up for. We'll keep on evaluating and making sure we're hitting the right things heading into February."

In the 50 freestyle, Raper finished second. He notched a 21.15, just off the winning time of 21.03.

Mitchell Crossen and Raper placed third and fourth, respectively, in the 100 freestyle. Crossen clocked in at 46.70, with Raper right behind at 46.79.

Ben Nussbaum was the third-place finisher in the 200 breaststroke Saturday. The senior registered a 2:11.98 performance.

In the 400 medley relay, Morgan Montemayor, Nussbaum, Jack Baldoni, and Raper combined to finish in 3:29.76, good for third place.

Montemayor, Baldoni, Ian Keane, and Crossen put up a time of 3:10.25 in the 400 freestyle relay, collecting third place.

The Redhawks will close their regular season with a contest at Simon Fraser on Saturday, Jan. 27.
