COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – (Jan. 12) Seattle University women’s swimming dropped a meet with Air Force, Incarnate Word, and Northern Colorado Friday afternoon. Madi Lydig and Paige Treff both finished second in individual races at Schlessman Pool at Colorado College.

SU fell to AFA, 190-44, to UIW, 161-71, and to Northern Colorado, 164-70.

“We missed some opportunities today,” said Coach Craig Nisgor. “We had some good swims, but we’ll look to clean some things up and get a better feel for this pool.”

In the 1000 freestyle, Lydig placed second Friday. She swam a 10:53.33 in the event.

Treff took second in the 50 freestyle. Her 24.16 time was just .08 seconds off first place. Treff also notched a third-place finish in the 100 freestyle with a 53.97 showing.

Bryn Lasher’s time of 58.53 took fourth. The freshman was 1.15 seconds off first.

SU faces the AFA and UIW tomorrow. The meet is set for an 10 a.m. Pacific start.

“We just need to keep on improving on the details and we’ll be in these races,” said Nisgor.
