Ashley Lokey joined the softball staff as an assistant coach for the 2017-18 school year. Lokey has been the head coach at Chabot (Calif.) Community College for the last four years.

While at Chabot, her best season came in 2015-2016 with an overall team batting average of .330 and a .703 winning percentage. Lokey specializes in outfield, hitting and working with left-handed slappers.

Lokey took on an assistant coaching position for the elite travel club Sorcerer 16-U. During the 2017 summer season Lokey assisted in winning the TCS Colorado Sparkler tournament, 16-U Open bracket and finishing in ninth place during the 2017 PGF National Championships, 16-U Premier Division.

The Eugene, Oregon, native started her college playing career in 2007-2008 at Mt. Hood Community College. In 2008-2009, Mt. Hood would become NWAC Champions while Lokey earned First Team All-Conference and NFCA All-American honors.

Lokey then transferred to Academy of Art University to continue her playing career. Lokey holds the school's record for highest batting average at .437, slugging percentage .668, and on base percentage .528.   While at Academy of Art, Lokey earned PacWest Academic All-Conference Team (2011, 2012), All-PacWest 1st Team (2010, 2012), NFCA All-Region 2nd Team (2010), nine Player of the Week career selections (2010, 2012), and three PacWest Weekly Top 10 selections (2012).

Lokey graduated from Academy of Art with her B. A. in Multimedia Communications (2012) and then continued her education to receive her M. S. in Sport and Health Science from American Public University (2017).
