LEWISTON, Idaho - (Mar. 24) The Seattle U women's tennis team earned a much needed victory Saturday afternoon as they defeated Lewis-Clark State College 7-0. Coming off three conference losses last weekend in Las Cruces, the Redhawks responded with consistent play from start to finish.

SU swept all three doubles matches, an area they struggled in just a week ago. In addition to garnering the doubles point, singles play didn't prove to be much tougher as Seattle U won all six games.

Michelle Lui defeated Lauren Lang 6-1, 6-2. Madison Maloney beat Stephanie Buckingham 6-2, 6-1. Barbara Carey held off Hannah Uhlenknott 7-5, 6-2. Caroline Maltby, Kali McCollister, and Audrey Scott also secured victories for the Redhawks.

Assistant Coach Matt Look shared his thoughts on the win.

"Good rebound match for us today," said Look. "I'm happy with how we used some of the lessons from last weekend and immediately implemented into their game plans.

We're taking some positive momentum into tomorrow's match up against Idaho and looking forward to the challenge."

The Redhawks close out the weekend tomorrow as they take on the University of Idaho in Lewiston at 1:00 p.m.
