PULLMAN, Wash. - (Jan. 14) The Seattle U women's tennis team opened it's season in Pullman, Wash., where they faced a deep and talented Washington State team before falling 7-0.
While the score was lopsided, assistant coach Matt Look believes the benefits from this type of opening watch will reveal themselves later on in the season.
"Tough match right out of the gate," said Look. "They had big hitters on all courts and we had to work hard to try and control the tempo of the match. We had some moments that we can build on going into the next matches. These are the kind of matches we need to make ourselves physically and mentally tougher."
Moving forward, the Redhawks will return home next Sunday, Jan. 22 as they host Montana State at the Tennis Center at Sand Point.
