During the spring 2014 signing period, Seattle University men’s and women’s tennis added three incoming student-athletes who will attend school and compete for the Redhawks beginning with the 2014-15 season. Anatoliy Beynars (Sacramento, Calif.) and John Stormans (Olympia, Wash.) will join the Seattle U men’s tennis team while Audrey Scott (Austin, Texas) signed an NLI with the SU women’s tennis team.

Anatoliy Beynars – Jesuit High School (Sacramento, Calif.)

Anatoliy Beynars is a 2014 graduate of Jesuit High School in Sacramento, Calif. where he is a three-year varsity letterwinner. Playing primarily in the No. 1 spot, Beynars was named Team MVP in 2012 and received his highest national ranking of 352.

John Stormans – St. Mary’s (CA)/Olympia High School (Olympia, Wash.)

John Stormans graduated from Olympia High School in 2013 and spent his freshman year of college at St. Mary’s in Moraga, Calif. A three-sport letterwinner at OHS, Stormans competed at No. 1 singles and doubles and helped lead the team to two state championships in his four years. He went undefeated during his sophomore and junior seasons, receiving all-state honors three times and winning back-to-back state championships in doubles. Participating only in fall competition at St. Mary’s, he earned doubles victories vs. Oregon and singles wins vs. San Francisco and Sacramento State. Tennisrecruiting.net ranked Stormans 19th in the country during the 2013 season.

Audrey Scott – Westwood High School (Austin, Texas)

Audrey Scott is a 2014 graduate of Westwood High School in Austin, Texas where she was a four-year varsity tennis letterwinner, also earning a letter in track as a freshman. Competing in the No. 1 singles spot as a senior, Scott helped lead the Warriors to district championships all four years. She was named First Team All-District twice and Academic All-District all four years and is currently ranked 22nd for the state of Texas on Tennisrecruiting.net.
