Seattle University women's tennis dropped the doubles point early to New Mexico State as the Aggies would go on to win three singles matches to take the 4-0 victory in the first round of the Western Athletic Conference tournament in Las Cruces, N.M. With the loss, the Redhawks' 2013-14 season is complete.

Anna Lambert (Spokane, Wash.) and Corinne Wurden (Poulsbo, Wash.) took the 8-4 victory at No. 3 doubles to start the match but NM State responded with a pair of victories in the No. 2 and No. 1 spots to earn the first point.

NMSU would then earn straight sets victories at No. 1, No. 6, and No. 2 singles to clinch the victory, so the match was called early in order to remain on time in tournament play.

Lambert, Wurden, Sarah Lucas (Las Vegas, Nev.), and Gabriella Weissmann (Simi Valley, Calif.) complete their Redhawk careers with today's match.

Following their second year in the WAC and their first year in the WAC Tournament, SU women's tennis will look to improve upon the year's successes in the 2014-15 season. Stay tuned to for all the latest updates throughout the offseason.
