Seattle University men’s and women’s tennis opened their annual spring break trip to Las Vegas with competitions vs. Mesa Community College as the men earned a 7-0 win and the women earned a 6-1 victory.

The Redhawks easily earned the doubles point in both matches, sweeping all three matches, with the second match going to a tiebreaker in each.

In the men’s match, Seattle U would go on to win all six singles matches to earn the shutout victory.

Mesa CC was able to win one singles victory in the women’s match at No. 2 singles but SU earned five more points on the remaining singles matches to earn the 6-1 win.

The teams continue play in Las Vegas as the men will face Grand Canyon and the women are set to face Weber State, both at 9 a.m. at the Darling Tennis Center.
