With windy conditions continuing for the second straight day, the Seattle University women’s golf team shot the second-best round of the day to finish the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State University, in seventh place after Tuesday’s final round at the Primm Valley Golf Club.

Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah) was the top Redhawk finisher after shooting 80 (+8) in the third round for a 54-hole total of 238 (+22), ending up in a tie for 12th place. Juhee Lee (Manhattan, Ore.) ended up in 26th place at 241 (+25) after shooting 81 (+9) in the final round.

Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) shot her best round of the year, posting a third-round score of 77 (+5) to move into a tie for 29th place with a cumulative score of 243 (+27). Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) finished the tournament in a tie for 37th place at 246 (+30) after shooting 82 (+10) in the final round.

Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) contributed to the team’s third round score after shooting 79 (+7) Tuesday. However, she did not officially place in the individual standings after tournament officials discovered Tuesday morning that her second-round scorecard was signed for a wrong score, disqualifying that score.

As a team, Seattle U combined for a third round total of 317 (+29) to finish the tournament in seventh place with a 54-hole total of 961 (+97), taking into account Huo’s second round disqualification that raised the Redhawks’ second round total from 324 to 331. Oral Roberts pulled away for a 12-stroke victory thanks to the best team score of the third round at 316, while Charlotte Jaengkit of Grand Canyon maintained her five-stroke advantage to earn medalist honors at 223 (+7).

The Seattle University women’s golf team heads to Kapalua, Maui, for the Anuenue Spring Break Classic, hosted by the University of Hawaii at The Bay Course next Monday through Wednesday, March 24-26.
