Battling gusting winds throughout the day, the Seattle University women’s golf team sits in a tie for sixth place after Monday’s two rounds of the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State University at the Primm Valley Golf Club.

Jamie Huo (Kent, Wash.) remained consistent during the 36-hole day, posting scores of 77 (+5) and 79 (+7) to end up in a tie for 11th place with a cumulative total of 156 (+12). Nicole Gaddie (Salt Lake City, Utah) shot the team’s best round of the day with a first round 76 (+4), following that with an 82 (+10) for a two-round total of 158 (+14), good enough for a tie for 18th place.

Juhee Lee (Manhattan, Ore.) improved from a first round 81 (+9) to a second round 79 (+7) to move into a tie for 25th place with a total score of 160 (+16). Dorsey Addicks (Big Sky, Mont.) posted scores of 80 (+8) and 84 (+12) to end the day in a tie for 43rd place at 164 (+20), and Amanda Beyke (Federal Way, Wash.) is currently in a tie for 51st place at 166 (+22) after rounds of 80 (+8) and 86 (+14).

Seattle U combined for scores of 313 (+25) in the first round and 324 (+36) in the second round for a two-round total of 637 (+61), tied with British Columbia for sixth place in the team standings. Oral Roberts holds a three-stroke lead over Grand Canyon in the team standings, with Charlotte Jaengkit of Grand Canyon on top of the individual standings by five strokes at 145 (+1).

The third and final round of the Jackrabbit Invitational is scheduled for a shotgun start Tuesday, March 18, at 8:30 a.m., with the Seattle University golfers starting on holes 7-10.
