Seattle University women’s tennis earned the doubles point but could not sustain the run in singles play as they lost, 5-2, to University of Maryland-Baltimore County to finish the weekend.

The Redhawks captured the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles, taking the early 1-0 lead.

Corinne Wurden (Poulsbo, Wash.) earned an additional win for Seattle U at No. 6 singles, but the Retrievers took the other five singles wins to earn the overall victory, 5-2.

The Redhawks take a trip to Las Vegas for five contests from Mar. 22 to Mar. 25 to close out the regular season before the Western Athletic Conference tournament at the end of April.
