Seattle U to Host Utah Valley and Bakersfield: Seattle University women’s basketball (11-12, 6-4 WAC) went 1-1 last weekend, earning a key team victory on the road at UTPA in overtime, 75-68, on Feb. 6 before falling at New Mexico State, 86-81, on Feb. 8. Senior Kacie Sowell jumped several spots, moving up to 15th in the country in Division I field-goal percentage (57.6%). Scouting Utah Valley (4-18, 1-8 WAC): Utah Valley has suffered three straight losses coming into this week with their last win and only WAC win coming on Jan. 25 at Chicago State, 72-46. Katie Kuklok leads the team in scoring, averaging 17.2 ppg while Karlee Kartchner is grabbing 7.1 rpg. Kuklok ranks third in the nation in free-throw percentage (93.8%) and 11th in both three-point field goals per game (3.06) and three-point field-goal percentage (45.6%). The Redhawks defeated UVU in Orem, Utah, 75-67, on Jan. 18 in their last meeting.

This Week's Promotion: Saturday is "Dads & Daughters" day and dad/daughter pairs will receive a special $8 admission price for both tickets. There will also be several contests throughout the game with dad/daughter pairs as participants!

Scouting Bakersfield (13-8, 7-2 WAC as of Feb. 11): Bakersfield, currently second in the WAC, brings a five-game winning streak into this week, winning six of their last seven games. Last time out, the Redhawks built a 16 point lead in the second half but could not sustain it as the Roadrunners came away with the 80-78 win in Bakersfield on Jan. 16. Three-time WAC Player of the Week honoree Tyonna Outland leads the team in scoring this season, averaging 19.9 ppg, 34th among NCAA DI, while Batabe Zempare grabs a squad-high 11.5 rpg this season, good for 13th in the country.
