Seattle University men’s tennis (2-5) continued their tour of the state of Utah with a 7-0 loss at the University of Utah (6-1).

Riley Newman (Whidbey Island, Wash.) and Connor Leahy (Portland, Ore.) came closest to a victory at No. 3 doubles, but ultimately fell, 6-4, after the Utes had already earned the doubles point with wins in the No. 1 and No. 2 spots.

Jason Bediones (Kent, Wash.) played Utah’s Justin Archer to a close contest at No. 6 singles but fell, 6-4, 6-5, as the Utes won all six singles matches.

Seattle U closes out the weekend with a match at Weber State on Sunday, Feb. 9.
