Seattle University men’s tennis (1-2) fell to Idaho in a match played in Cheney, Wash., 5-2.

The Redhawks surrendered the doubles point after falling in all three doubles matches. Riley Newman and Connor Leahy came the closest to a victory, falling to Andrew Zedde and Cesar Torres, 6-4, in the No. 3 match.

The Vandals secured the win, earning wins in the first three singles matches to finish, as Jose Bendeck, Odon Barta, and Cristobal Ramos Salazar earned wins at No. 2, No.3, and No. 4 singles. Kevin Lynch and Connor Leahy would win their respective singles matches for the Redhawks at No. 1 and No. 6 singles, respectively, but it was not enough to overcome the deficit.

The men’s tennis team finishes the weekend at Gonzaga on Sunday, Jan. 26 at 10 a.m.
