Seattle, Wash. -

The Seattle University Office of Alumni Relations is sponsoring the 2012 Alumni Downtown Breakfast at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel Thursday, Dec. 13, featuring Cameron Dollar and Lorenzo Romar, the head men's basketball coaches at Seattle University and the University of Washington, hours before their two teams meet on the basketball court at KeyArena.

The breakfast and panel discussion will be moderated by Steve Raible, co-anchor of KIRO 7 Eyewitness News and play-by-play voice of the Seattle Seahawks on 710 ESPN Seattle. A portion of the proceeds from the event will benefit Boys & Girls Clubs of King County.

The event is scheduled to run from 7:00 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. in the Metropolitan Room and Reception Area at the Sheraton Seattle Hotel, located at 1400 6th Avenue. The doors will open at 6:30 a.m., and tickets will cost $40. For tickets to the breakfast, go to the website of Brown Paper Tickets at www.brownpapertickets.com/event/289600.

The relationship between Dollar and Romar goes back to the mid-1990s, when Romar, then an assistant coach, recruited Dollar to UCLA, where they helped the Bruins win the 1995 NCAA Championship at The Kingdome in Seattle. Romar added Dollar to his staff when he became the head coach at Saint Louis University in 1999, and the two coaches came to the University of Washington in 2002, where Dollar was a top assistant under Romar before becoming Seattle U's head coach in April 2009.

The Seattle University men's basketball team welcomes the Washington Huskies to KeyArena at Seattle Center Thursday, Dec. 13, starting at 7 p.m. in a game broadcast by ROOT SPORTS. Tickets for the game are on sale online through Ticketmaster or GoSeattleU.com.
