The Hoops Manifesto, one of the most popular college basketball blogs in the country, has been sponsoring a tournament to determine the best dunk of the 2009-10 NCAA men's basketball season, and the dunk by Seattle University junior Charles Garcia (Los Angeles, Calif.) at Cal State Northridge on Jan. 11, 2010, was selected as one of the 16 dunks eligible to win the tournament. Over the past two weeks, fans have advanced Garcia's dunk, first to the Elite Eight, and now to the Final Four.

After defeating Marcus Morris of Kansas and Travis Leslie of Georgia, Garcia will now face Gerard Anderson of Cal State Fullerton, who has two dunks among the four semifinalists. Anderson's other dunk faces Lance Stephenson of Cincinnati in the second semifinal.

According to Jeff Fox of The Hoops Manifesto, "We've selected 16 of the best dunks for the 2009/10 NCAA basketball season and have paired them up in a single elimination tournament. The rules are pretty simple: you, the reader, vote for which dunk is the best between each pair (please only vote once per dunk - no ballot stuffing). Each round of voting will be open for a week and we'll continue until we have crowned our champion."

The Hoops Manifesto has joined with SLAM Magazine to offer prizes such as The Hoops Manifesto T-shirts and a SLAM Magazine prize pack for those who participate in the voting. The voting in this round is open until midnight Eastern Time (9 p.m. Pacific Time) on Sunday, May 8.
