Katie Hultin enters her fifth season as the goalkeeping coach with the Seattle University women's soccer team. She is responsible for training the Seattle U goalkeepers individually and at team training sessions. She will also design and implement a training program for the SU 'keepers to maintain their fitness and continue to improve in the off-season.
A 2005 graduate of Washington State, Hultin was a four-year letterwinner in goal for the Cougars. She is number one all-time in most shutouts recorded with 21, second all-time in saves recorded with 248, and is third all-time in wins recorded with 23. During that time she garnered numerous accolades including being named a three-time All-Pacific 10 honoree, and Washington State's team MVP in 2004 and Most Inspirational from 2003-05. Hultin helped lead the Cougar's to the NCAA Tournament in 2003.
Her playing experience also includes professional stints with the W-League's Arizona Heatwave, Mile High Mustangs and most recently the Seattle Sounders. She also participated in the 2009 WPS preseason. The Denver, Colo. native also boasts Olympic Development experience, as she was a member of the Colorado State team and Region IV team from 1997-2001.
Hultin currently is the Girls Coaching Director at FC Alliance and on Region IV ODP staff. Katie currently holds her USSF A License.
