Alex Chursky begins his second season as a graduate assistant coach in the Seattle University men's soccer program.

One of the top goal scorers in Seattle University history, Chursky is fourth on Seattle's all-time goals list with 32 career goals, fourth on the all-time points list with 84, and tied for fifth in school history for career assists with 20. Chursky scored one of the most famous goals in program history, laying out parallel to the ground and sending a header just inside the far post with three seconds remaining in regulation to give Seattle University the victory in the 2004 NCAA Division II Elite Eight match against Incarnate Word on November 21, 2004, at Championship Field. Chursky also assisted on the game-winning goal 4:08 into overtime in the national semifinal match against Dowling on December 3, 2004, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Chursky, a former member of Canada's Under-20 national team, attended Decatur High School in Federal Way, Wash., where he led the team to back-to-back undefeated seasons and state titles. He graduated from Seattle University with a degree in communications and is presently enrolled in the Master of Sport Administration and Leadership program.
