2008-09: Austin showcased incredible improvement his senior year starting in all 29 of the Redhawk’s games. He led the team in scoring (12.9), minutes (30.3) and tied for first in blocks (17). Powers also placed second on the team in rebounding, grabbing 6.4 per game, and third in free throw percentage, hitting 82 percent. He scored in double figures 17 times including a 28 point effort at Portland on January 4th and a 16 point contribution in a victory against South Dakota February 14th in which he also recorded 14 rebounds.

2007-08: Powers played in 26 of Seattle University's 27 games during the year. He shot 29-of-58 (50 percent) from the field and was a 85 percent free-throw shooter (35-of-41). Powers averaged 3.9 points in his 10.0 minutes per game. Powers scored a season-high 11 points February 16 versus Western Oregon. He was perfect on the night, going 4-for-4 from the field and 3-for-3 from the free-throw line in 14 minutes.

Cal State Northridge: Helped team to a 25-34 record in his two years with the Division I Matadors playing in the Big West Conference. Was a member if the Big West All-Academic Team. 

Ironwood HS: Powers was named team MVP after leading his team to a regional championship and a berth in the Elite 8 of the State Championships. His Eagles went 24-5 while Powers averaged 15.8 points and 9.8 rebounds during that year. Powers was named first team all-region during both his junior and senior years.

Personal: Powers is a liberal studies major at Seattle...Born April 8, 1987, his parents are Steve and Joni Powers.
