SEATTLE (May 2) – Seattle University softball will make the short trip north to play at No. 8 University of Washington on Wednesday evening. The regular-season finale is scheduled for a 6 p.m. start at Husky Softball Stadium.

Seattle U (18-29) finished fourth in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) regular season standings, claiming the third seed in next week's WAC Tournament. It beat CSU Bakersfield, 8-2, on senior day April 29. Madison Cathcart and Savannah Loomis hit back-to-back home runs to cap a four-run fourth inning that put the Redhawks ahead.

Washington (37-10) is coming off a three-game sweep at Cal last weekend. Taran Alvelo picked up two wins on the weekend, throwing a pair of complete games for the Huskies.

Paige Bouska paces SU with a .397 batting average and WAC highs in hits (71) and triples (7). For UW, Casey Stengal leads the way with a .370 average, 11 home runs, and 45 RBIs.

The contest marks the end of SU's regular season schedule. The Redhawks travel to New Mexico State for the WAC Tournament, beginning May 11.
