REDHAWKS SWEEP WAC PLAYERS OF THE WEEK
Dalton Hurd and Jake Prizina were named Western Athletic Conference Hitter and Pitcher of the Week, respectively, for Mar. 6-12. Hurd, a junior outfielder from Bend, Ore. (Bend HS), had the hot bat for Seattle U on the week, hitting .529 with nine hits, including three doubles. He drove in four runs, scored four runs himself and stole four bases on the week as the Redhawks split games with Indiana State and Pacific. His best game was a 2-for-2 day with a pair of doubles against Indiana State. Prizina, a sophomore from Sparks, Nev. (Sparks HS), made two starts last week and earned a pair of wins for the Redhawks. Against Indiana State, he went eight scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk with four strikeouts to earn the victory. On Sunday, he faced Pacific and allowed two runs on seven hits over six innings with six strikeouts for his second win in six days.

REDHAWK REPORT
• Seattle U enters the weekend with a 6-10 overall record. Five games remain before Western Athletic Conference play begins versus Chicago State on Mar. 24.
• Last week, inclement weather forced a last-minute change, sending the Redhawks on the road to Pacific instead of hosting the Tigers at Bannerwood Park. Pacific won the first three games of the series before SU closed the weekend with a big 17-4 win.
• The 17 runs against Pacific were a season-high and the most scored since a 17-5 win at UC Davis on Feb. 16, 2014.
Jake Prizina has been the bright spot in the Redhawks’ pitching rotation. The sophomore lefty is 3-0 with a 3.67 ERA after going 2-0 last week with wins against Indiana State and Pacific.
• Offensively, the Redhawks hold a combined .268 average. A trio of players are batting over .300, led by Dalton Hurd who hits at a .375 clip. The junior outfielder is tied for the team lead with 21 hits, including six doubles. He has also scored 10 runs and has seven stolen bases.
Jack Reisinger is batting .364 with 16 hits, including two doubles and two home runs. Aaron Stroosma is batting .356 with a team-high 18 RBIs. The redshirt senior has tallied at least one hit in all but three games this season and is tied for the team lead with 21 total hits.
• The Redhawks lead the WAC with 20 stolen bases. Aaron Stroosma leads the individual list with eight steals on nine attempts. Dalton Hurd is second with seven steals.
