Despite being unable to come home with a meet win on the day, both the Redhawk men and women's squads were persistent and showed collective improvement versus their top-notch competition.

On the men's side, sophomore Jordan Anderson earned the only first-place individual finish for the Redhawks. He swam the 50 yard freestyle in a time of 21.11 to lead the men's team on the day.

In the 400 yard freestyle relay, the Redhawks earned a one-two finish. The first-place relay team of Anderson, Chris Fulton, Jeff Tibbals and Murray Longbotham swam the race in a time of 3:09.95. Following their teammates, the second SU relay team of Andrew Martinez, Kalani Kaula, Chris Lynch and Tyler Carriker concluded the race in a time of 3:24.98.

For the women, Kelsey Henan came the closest to earning a first-place finish in the 100 yard freestyle. The Redhawk junior was .04 seconds behind the race winner with a time of 55.83. Similarly, Elizabeth Hanohano had a strong showing in the 200 yard freestyle. She swam the individual race in a time of 1:57.98, two seconds behind Utah's Natalie Edge. Rounding out the Redhawk women's team was Alexis Morehouse. The SeatteU sophomore swam the 200 yard breaststroke in a time of 2:24.75 to be edged out of first-place by a Utah swimmer.

The Redhawk women return to the pool on Friday, Nov. 13, to host the University of Idaho in a 1 p.m. meet. The following day, the men's and women's team will take on Whitworth in a dual meet at 1 p.m.
