After taking one of two games in their opening two conference series, Seattle University softball (13-21, 2-4 WAC) will travel to San Jose, Calif. to face current WAC leader, San Jose State. The teams will play a single game on Friday April 5 at 3 p.m. PT and a doubleheader starting at 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 6. Scouting San Jose State: The Spartans are currently tied for the top spot in the Western Athletic Conference standings with New Mexico State through the first two weekends of league play. SJSU has won 12 of their last 13 games dating back to March 15. They are led at the plate by Markesha Collins, averaging .379, also recording 21 runs on 39 hits as well as six doubles and a team-high six home runs and 26 RBIs. In the circle, two of four pitchers have a sub-3.00 ERA, led by Amanda Pridmore with a 2.07 ERA and a 15-8 record. Pridmore has three WAC Pitcher of the Week nods so far in 2013.
