After playing their final non-conference weekend before Western Athletic Conference play, Seattle University softball (11-17) opens up league play with a weekend series at UT Arlington. The Redhawks will face the Mavericks for a doubleheader on Friday, Mar. 22 at 2 p.m. PT and a single game on Saturday, Mar. 23 at 11 a.m. PT. Scouting UT Arlington:The Mavericks are 15-11 going into this weekend's competitions, but are only 2-3 at home. Last weekend, they went 3-3 at the San Diego Classic II, topping Southern Utah, Bryant University, and Seton Hall. Meagan Michelle leads the Mavs at the plate, batting .324 with 12 runs on 23 hits as well as three doubles, one triple, two home runs, and 10 RBIs. In the circle, all three pitchers have a sub-3.00 ERA as Teri Lyles currently posts a 1.57 ERA and a 14-4 win-loss record. They have one final non-conference contest on Mar. 20 vs. Baylor before facing the Redhawks this weekend.

Cal State Northridge Invitational:The Redhawks topped LMU in the first game on the weekend before falling in the last three in a second game to LMU and two vs. CSUN.
Yale Doubleheader:The Redhawks topped the Bulldogs, 6-1, at Logan FIeld before rain forced the second game of the doubleheader to be cancelled on Mar. 12.
