Easton Desert Classic: After facing three Pac-12 schools at the Easton Desert Classic, highlighted by a five inning win, 10-0, over Utah, Seattle University softball (5-5) comes home to host Northwest University for a doubleheader on Saturday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. Links to available live stats are are on the softball schedule page at GoSeattleU.com.
SU to Host Washington on Feb. 27: In what is believed to be the school’s first on-campus outdoor contest “under the lights”, SU softball will host top-20 crosstown rival Washington for a single game on Wednesday February 27 at 6 p.m. This will be the grand opening for the Redhawks’ new home, Logan Field at Seattle University Park. Fans are encouraged to bring their own chairs, as seating at the park will fill up quickly for the contest.
Scouting Northwest: This is the softball program’s first season in existence and they are part of the Cascade Collegiate Conference. John Bacon, a 2003 graduate of NU, serves as head coach alongside assistant coaches Delbis Morel and Whitney Hubeek. They are currently 2-6 on the season, winning their last two games at Walla Walla University, 8-1 and 6-1.
