The Seattle University women's swim team concluded the fall portion of its schedule as the 64th annual Husky Invitational, hosted by the Husky Swimming Foundation, wrapped up Sunday at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

Kevlyn Richards (Gig Harbor, Wash.) finished in 14th place in the morning preliminaries of the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:22.59, with Dilynn D'Agostino (Gresham, Ore.) finishing in 21st place in 2:23.76. Richards did not swim in the evening final, and D'Agostino finished sixth in the "C" final (22nd overall) with a time of 2:24.16. Caroline Van Maren (Bellevue, Wash.) finished in 83rd place in the preliminaries with a time of 2:33.71.

Jane Liggett (Portland, Ore.) finished in 32nd place in the 200 butterfly preliminaries with a time of 2:10.23, but she did not participate in the "D" final in the evening session. Bethany Gehrke (Lynnwood, Wash.) finished in 52nd place in the morning session with a time of 2:13.56.

In the 200 backstroke preliminaries, Rachel Leighter (Eugene, Ore.) finished in a tie for 85th place with a time of 2:15.77, followed by Mackenzie Gant (Richland, Wash.) in 87th place in 2:15.95. Allie McGavock (Glen Ellyn, Ill.) finished in 30th place in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 18:18.58, and Whitney Dean (Campbell, Calif.) touched the wall in 42nd place with a time of 18:43.87.

Richards was the top Redhawk in the 100 freestyle preliminaries, finishing in a tie for 111th place with a time of 54.91 seconds. Melissa Randolf (Everett, Wash.) was in 131st place in 55.27 seconds, followed by Liggett in 145th place in 55.43 seconds, Van Maren in 57.03 seconds, Melanie Frey (Seattle, Wash.) in 57.57 seconds, McGavock in 58.36 seconds, and Dean in 1:00.20.

Capping off the invitational with the 400 freestyle relay, the quartet of Randolf, Richards, Leighter, and Liggett finished in 48th place with a time of 3:47.40. Close behind in 49th place was the grouping of Van Maren, Gant, Gehrke, and D'Agostino with a mark of 3:48.06.

The Seattle University women's swim team will next compete against Whitworth University Saturday, Jan. 12, starting at 1 p.m. at the Connolly Center Pool.
