Seattle, Wash. -
The Seattle University Courtside Club, the men's basketball support group, has scheduled its next monthly luncheon for Thursday, Dec. 6, starting at 11:45 a.m. in the Broadway/Madison Room of the Silver Cloud Hotel, located at 1100 Broadway near Madison.
The focus of the luncheon will be the Dec. 13 game between Seattle U and Washington at KeyArena at Seattle Center. Seattle U head men's basketball coach Cameron Dollar will preview that game as well as review the first five games of the 2012-13 season.
The guest speaker for the luncheon will be Ed O'Brien, a member of the Seattle U Athletics Hall of Fame. O'Brien was a member of the 1952-53 basketball team that faced Washington in the NCAA Tournament, the first meeting ever between the two Seattle schools on the basketball court. He was also the athletic director when the yearly series between Seattle U and Washington was first established in 1969.
Tom Glasgow of KOMO Newsradio and ROOT SPORTS will serve as the emcee for the luncheon. Glasgow is the sports director for KOMO Newsradio and was the play-by-play broadcaster for ROOT during Seattle U's season-opening victory over Montana State at the Elgin Baylor Classic.
The cost of the luncheon is $25. To register for the luncheon online, click here. For more information, contact Jessica Khoshnood at email@example.com.
