2019 Outdoor: Seattle U Track and Field Male Freshman of the Year... at the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, posted a time of 1:55.51 in the 800m run… had the sixth-best time in the WAC for the outdoor 800m run with a personal-best 1:53.56 at the Bryan Clay Invitational… took first place in the 800m run after finishing in 1:56.17 at the Doris Heritage Track Festival.

2019 Indoor: All-WAC Second Team... with the distance relay team, won the bronze medal with a time of 10:23.33 at the WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships and also had an 800m finals time of 1:56.09… posted the sixth-best time in the conference in the indoor 800m run with a personal-best 1:54.52 at the Husky Classic… took first place in the 800m run with a time of 1:58.79 and second place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:31.31 at the Cougar Indoor… ran the 800m in 1:56.92 800m run at the UW Invitational… had a personal-best time of 1:22.71 in the 600m run at the UW Preview.

High School: Keene compiled an extensive list of accomplishments at Homewood-Flossmoor High School… named to the Illinois High School Association All-Sectional team for the 4x800m in 2015… in 2016, he was named to the All-Sectional team in both the 4x800m and 800m… won the Indoor and Outdoor Conference Championships for the 800m in 2017, qualifying for the IHSA State Championships in the 800m and 4x800m events and making both All-Sectional teams… 2018 saw him repeating his accomplishments from 2017 and adding the 800m Sectional Champion and Southwest Suburban Conference 4x800m All-Conference titles… as a member of the Maximum Quotient Track Club, he won the Amateur Athletic Union’s Regional Championship for the 1500m race, qualifying for the AAU Junior Olympic Games in the 800m and 1500m… named in 2017 as a USA Track and Field Junior Olympic qualifier in the 4x800m and 1500m events, eventually earning the title of USATF Junior Olympic All-American in the former.

Personal: Stewart Keene’s achievements in the classroom earned him the titles of National Merit Commended Scholar, AP Scholar, and Illinois State Scholar… a decorated painter, he has appeared in two art shows and is a member of the National Art Honors Society… plans to channel his talent into a career as a writer or visual artist… his cousin, Cameron Brown, plays baseball for Central Michigan University.
