2018-19: Did not play.

Chinwe Ezeonu joins SU after playing the 2017-18 season at San Jose State. After sitting out the 2018-19 campaign due to NCAA transfer rules, Ezeonu will have three years of eligibility remaining at Seattle U.

Ezeonu appeared in 19 games at San Jose State last season. At Seattle Prep, she averaged 13 points and 12 rebounds a game in her four-year career. Ezeonu was a two-year team captain, helping Seattle Prep make a deep run in the state tournament.

“We are thrilled to have Chinwe return to Seattle and join our program,” said Barcomb. “She had a highly successful high school career at Seattle Prep and we love to have local talent stay in this wonderful city and call Seattle University their home. With sitting out a year, Chinwe will have ample time to acclimate herself to our program, develop her game and be an important part of phase three of our process of building championship culture. She will add much-needed depth to our front court which will allow us to play a bigger, yet mobile lineup when needed. We are looking forward to Chinwe joining our program.”
