SEATTLE – (May 16) The Seattle University men’s tennis team has added a new player for the upcoming 2018-19 season in Billy Givens-Jensen.

Givens-Jensen is a native of Los Angeles, where he attended Capistrano Connections Academy. He comes from a successful tennis family as his father and uncle Murphy and Luke Jensen won the doubles competition at the French Open in 1993.

Givens-Jensen will join a Redhawk team that finished the 2017-18 season with a 10-13 record overall and 2-3 in the Western Athletic Conference.

"We are very excited to welcome Billy into our program,” men’s tennis head coach Adam Reeb said. “He's a great fit for Seattle U - a guy who is super passionate about both his academics and tennis.  Billy is a sincere and genuine person who is going to come in and work hard both on and off the court.  We're very happy he is joining our family and look forward to seeing his contributions over the next four years."
