SEDONA, Ariz. – (Mar. 5) Led by top 10 performances from Ellen Brantberg and Dorsey Addicks, as well as strong rounds from the entire scoring squad, the Seattle Univeristy women's golf team clinched the team title at the Red Rocks Invitational hosted by Northern Arizona on Saturday and Sunday at Oak Creek Country Club.

The Redhawks shot a three-round team score of 884, which was matched by the University of Toledo. But by virture of a tie breaker, Seattle U edged the Rockets due to the Redhawks' fifth golfer shooting a better score than the fifth golfer from Toledo.

"I'm so proud of our team," said Head Coach Marc Chandonnet. "We had a couple tough weeks at workouts and practice and anytime those efforts are rewarded it provides the validation needed to continue grinding towards our main goals."

Brantberg finished in a four-way tie for second in the individual standings, shooing a one-under 2015 (69-76-70). Addicks was not far behing, placing in a tie for sixth at four-over 220 (71-75-74).

Alexus Song and Jamie Huo tied for 20th at 10-over 226. Yen Ting Wong rounded out the scoring Redhawks, earning a tie for 37th with a 17-over 233.

"Our team believes this is a special year and we have agreed to end it without regrets regardless of outcome knowing we gave it our best each and every day," said Chandonnet. "We will enjoy this victory for a day and then get back to work for next week at GCU."

Seattle U returns to action March 11-12 at the Grand Canyon University Invitational.
