High School: Wolf helped Dana Hills High School to the state playoffs in both 2014 and 2015. He was the team MVP in 2014, and during his prep career he batted .310 and posted a 1.45 earned run average, including a one-hit shutout during the 2015 season.

Personal: Wolf is the oldest son of Kim and Robert Wolf, and he has three younger siblings named Emily, Ethan, and Eli. His mother Kim was a student-athlete at Long Beach State. He is a pre-major within the Albers School of Business and Economics.
