2017-18: posted 15:59.60 in 1650 freestyle, fastest on the roster during the season...logged second-best 1000 freestyle time on the team during the season with a 9:59.42 on Jan. 13.
2016-17: Tallied second-fastest 1650 freestyle time in school history with 15:54.99 at WAC Championships (Feb. 25)...swam a 4:32.38 in 500 freestyle at WAC Championships (Feb. 23), good for third-best in program history...posted fourth-best time in school annals with 9:32.30 in 1000 freestyle at WAC Championships (Feb. 25)...logged a 1:42.00 in 200 freestyle at WAC Championships (Feb. 24), ninth-fastest in program history...WAC All-Academic.
High School: Barnard helped Archbishop Murphy win the Washington 2A state swimming and diving title in both 2013 and 2014. In 2014, he won the state title in the 200 freestyle, and followed that with a state championship in the 100 butterfly in 2015.
Club: Barnard swam for the Bellevue Club Swim Team from 2011 to 2015, qualifying for the USA Swimming Winter Junior National Championships. He was also a USA Swimming Scholastic All-American in both 2014 and 2015.
Personal: Barnard is the youngest son of Chris and Joann Barnard, and his older brother Alec swam at SU...majoring in finance.
