2018: DI Baseball Top 100 College Prospects – Preseason (44)… All-WAC Preseason Team… finished his career first in school history for lowest opponent batting average (.221), most strikeouts per nine innings (9.79), wins (21), strikeouts (224) and strikeouts looking (56)… fifth-lowest career ERA in school history with 3.36… started 38 games in his career, second-most in school history… pitched two complete games (one of which was a shutout), tied for second-most in program history… pitched the fourth-most innings in school history with 206… faced 892 batters over his career, fourth in program history… picked off four runners in his career, fifth in program history… appeared in 19 games in 2018, starting 16… posted a 4.16 ERA and an 8-2 record, striking out 106 in 80 innings pitched (second-most for a season in program history)… set or tied program season records with most strikeouts per nine innings (11.93), wins (T-8), games started (16) and strikeouts looking (25)… in 2018, had an opponent batting average of .225, tenth-lowest in school history… faced 361 batters, sixth-most in a season in program history.. had seven appearances with zero earned runs, six of which were scoreless… struck out 10 in six innings, allowing just one walk and four hits vs. Northern Colorado (May 23)… struck out 10 in seven innings, allowing one run, two walks and four hits against Utah Valley (May 12)… had 12 strikeouts in 5.2 innings vs. UTRGV (April 20)… pitched five total innings, the first three perfect, and struck out eight, also allowing a walk and two hits vs. Alcorn State (April 13)… struck out 12 over six innings while allowing one run and two hits against Chicago State (March 30).

2015: Collegiate Baseball Freshman All-American ... Second Team All-WAC ... 17 APP/14 GS, 7-4, 3.24 ERA, 83.1 IP, 69 H, 37 R, 30 ER, 27 BB, 68 SO ... May 16: pitched 7 innings against Northern Colorado, striking out seven batters while allowing only two hits and zero earned runs ... May 10: pitched 7 innings against Chicago State, striking out 11 batters while allowing five hits and only one earned run ... April 26: pitched 6 innings against Bakersfield and managed to strike out eight batters while giving up only two hits and zero earned runs ... March 29: pitched 7.1 innings against UT-Pan American and struck out three batters, while allowing three hits and zero earned runs ... March 22: in 6 innings of work against Utah Valley he struck out eight batters and let up only three hits with zero earned runs ... High School: Skubal was a three-year letterwinner at Kingman Academy, leading the Tigers to three playoff appearances, including the state championship in 2012 and 2013. He was named CAA playoff MVP during both title runs as well as CAA state player of the year in 2013. He pitched a perfect game during the first game of the 2014 playoffs.

Personal: Skubal is the son of Russ and Laura Skubal, and he has older siblings named Trent, Tyler, and Wil Jones, as well as a younger sibling named Treyvor. Skubal is a pre-major.
