High School: Olson participated in cross country and track and field for three years at Liberty High School, helping the Patriots to the 2013 state cross country meet as well as to two league championships in track and field. A first team all-league and all-district honoree in cross country in 2013, he received the team's most improved award in 2011 and the coach's award in both 2012 and 2013.

Personal: Olson's full name is Collin Charles DiRamio Olson, and he is the son of Tracey DiRamio and Bradley Olson, with a younger brother named Duncan. Born July 16, 1996, he is planning on majoring in mechanical engineering.
