2017-18: Broke his own SU record in 100 backstroke at WAC Championships, finishing in 48.75...recorded best 200 backstroke time on roster during the season, logging a 1:48.53 at conference meet.
2016-17: Set school record in 100 backstroke at WAC Championships (Feb. 24), posting a 49.05 to top his own mark...also swam a 1:48.31 in the 200 backstroke at WAC Championships (Feb. 25), good for fourth in SU history...led off 200 medley relay that broke school record at WAC Championships (Feb. 22), as the team swam a 1:29.27...also led off program-record-setting 400 medley relay squad at WAC Championships (Feb. 24), with the group logging a 3:16.87...WAC All-Academic.

2015: Academic All-WAC ... At WAC Championships 2/25-2/28, finished 12th in 100 backstroke final at 50.38 seconds after qualifying time of 50.28 seconds ... finished 19th in 200 backstroke final in 1:52.32 after preliminary time of 1:55.60.
High School: Montemayor finished in second place in the 100 backstroke during the 2014 Washington 3A state championships as he represented Chief Sealth High School, earning a senior national cut in the event. A two-time qualifier for the state championship meet, Montemayor was a captain of the Seahawk varsity swim team. He also competed for the King Aquatic Club for four years, qualifying for the Junior Nationals in the 100 backstroke.
Personal: Montemayor's parents are Peter and Trisha Montemayor, and he has two younger siblings named Ainlsey and Riley. He is a pre-major within the Albers School of Business and Economics.
