High School: Kosanke spent four years starting on the Bellevue High varsity tennis team, acting as team captain for three of them. He made district and state appearances all four years for the Wolverines, winning the state singles title his senior year. He also racked up two fourth-place finishes-one in singles and one in doubles-and a fifth-place showing in doubles at state his freshman year. He tallied a regular season combined record of 37-4 over all four years by going undefeated in the 2010 and 2011 regular seasons, and he was named conference MVP and First Team All-Conference all four years as well. He was named Team MVP from his sophomore to senior year and won Most Improved his freshman season.
Personal: Full name Zachary George Kosanke. Parents are Cindy and George Kosanke, and he has an older brother named Kevin. Kosanke is majoring in political science, and would like to pursue a career in law after graduation.
