High School: Chase was a four-year letterwinner at Thomas Jefferson High School playing for his father David. In his senior season, he finished with 12 goals and 11 assists to earn SPSL MVP honors as well as first team all-area by the Seattle Times and first team honors by the Tacoma News Tribune.

Personal: Chase is the son of David and Lori Hanson. His older brother Tyler is a senior on the 2012 Seattle U men's soccer team, plus he has a younger sister named Jordyn. Chase is majoring in business.
