2012 Cross Country: Ran Sundodger Invitational (9/15) in 24:14.67, finishing 82nd ... finished first collegiate race, UW/SU Open Aug. 31, in 18:12.25.
High School: Emily participated on the cross country team for four years and on the track and field team for four years at Tempe Prep. She was named runner of the year by her cross country team three different times. An all-region selection in cross country in 2011, Emily participated in the state cross country and state track and field championships all four years.
Personal: Emily is the daughter of Carrie Hedberg, and she has an older sister named Holly. She is a nursing major.
