High School: Taylor was a four-time all-city selection and a three-time all-region and all-state honoree at Perry High School. She won the regional championship and finished second at the state championships. A four-time Scholar-Athlete of the Year for the Perry Pumas, she holds the school record in the 1600 meter run, the 3200 meter run, and the 5k cross country run.

Personal: Taylor is the daughter of Steve and Jodine de Laveaga, and she has a younger sibling named Coby. Her dad played basketball at Cal Lutheran and for the Bendigo Braves in Australia. Born January 20, 1994, in Bendigo, Victoria, Australia, she is a pre-major in the Albers School of Business and Economics.
