2013 Outdoor:  At Western Athletic Conference May 8-11, earned 14th in heat of 1500 meter run with a time of 4:05.12 ... At OSU High Performance Twilight Apr. 26, earned 23th in 1500 meter run with a time of 4:04.54 ... At WAR VI Team Dual Apr. 12-13, took 22nd in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:11.98 ... At Willamette Invitational April 6,  finished 17th in the 1500 meter run with a time of 4:05.45

2013 Indoor: At UW Invitational Jan. 25-26, ran mile run in 4:29.00 and helped the Distance Medley team finish in a time of 10:25.87 ... At UW Indoor Preview Jan. 12, ran mile run in 4:28.82

2012 Cross Country: Ran USATF Pacific Northwest Championships (11/4), taking 37th place and finishing in 37:01 ... took 27th place in Emerald City Open (10/13), finishing in 28:05.7 ... ran Sundodger Invitational (9/15) in 26:45.51, finishing in 92nd place ... ran UW/SU Open on Aug. 31 in 24:05.19 for first collegiate race.

High School: Gus was a three-time cross country team MVP as well as the 2010 track and field team MVP at David Douglas High School. A two-time all-conference selection as well as an all-state honoree in 2012, he won the Mt. Hood Conference Art Skipper Jr. Memorial Track & Field Award in 2012 as well as the Terry Porter Make it Better Award presented by the Portland Trailblazers in 2011. He graduated at the top of his class and won numerous academic awards during his high school career.

Personal: Born December 24, 1993 as Jose Gus Arroyo, he is the oldest son of Jose and Yolanda Arroyo with two younger brothers named Gus and Oscar. He is double majoring in humanities for leadership and psychology.
