2012: Hartnett redshirted during the 2012 baseball season.

Kentwood High School:  Hartnett was awarded one letter in baseball for the Conquerors.  He was an All-SPSL Honorable Mention in 2011 and helped take the team to the state playoffs that year.  Hartnett was given the Presidents' Award at Kentwood.

Club Experience: Harnett played club baseball with the JBA Cubs 2009-2011 and with the Kent Bulldogs 2006-2008.  He won the state championship with the Bulldogs in 2008. 

Personal: Full name Bret David Hartnett.  His parents are Kristin and Brian Hartnett, and he has two younger sisters, Chelsea and Rachel.  His dad played baseball for Shoreline Community College and his grandfather, Richard Schnell, played in the Canadian Football League.  He is currently undecided on a major and would eventually like to play in the MLB.  He enjoys vacationing and hanging out with friends in addition to playing baseball.
