High School: Gunning pitched for three years with the Snohomish HS baseball team.  He was named First Team All-WesCo and Second Team All-State in his senior year, helping lead the Panthers to a division title.  He was named Team MVP Pitcher in both his junior and senior years.  He went 5-0 his last year at Snohomish, keeping a 10-1 strikeout-to-walk ratio.  Gunning left the school with an 11-2 record as a starter with one of the five highest strikeout-to-walk ratios in school history.  He attended King's High School for classes, where he was on the honor roll all four years.

Club Experience: Gunning played for Chaffey Baseball Club in 20011.  He helped the club win the Battle of Omaha tournament during the College World Series.  From 2006 to 2010, he played with Seattle Select and won multiple tournaments with the team. 

Personal: Full name Grant Scott Gunning.  Parents are Lisa and Scott Gunning.  His father played golf at Willamette University.  Gunning is planning on majoring in business and wants to pursue a career in business.  In addition to playing baseball, Gunning enjoys hunting and fishing.
