2012-13: At WAC Championships Feb. 27 to March 2, Frey swam 50 yard freestyle in 25.71 ... swam 200 yard freestyle in 2:03.76 ... swam 100 yard freestyle in 55.44.

On Jan. 18-19, frey swam 200 yard freestyle in 2:07.48 ... competed in 100 yard freestyle ... anchored second place 200 yard freestyle relay in 26.08 (relay time 1:42.60) ... swam 200 yard freestyle in 2:07.48 ... swam 100 yard butterfly in 1:09.97 ... and swam lead leg of fourth place 400 yard freestyle relay in 58.63 (relay time 3:59.13)

Versus Whitworth on Jan. 12, Frey swam the 200 yard freestyle in 2:04.63 ... swam 100 yard freestyle in 57.45.

On Nov 30 to Dec 2 in the Husky Invitational, Frey participated in the 100 yard Freestyle in 57.57.

Versus Simon Fraser Nov. 10, swam the third leg of the fourth-place 400 yard Medley Relay in 1:06.45 (relay time of 4:23.43) ... finished 200 yard Freestyle in 2:04.48, taking fifth ... swam lead leg of 400 yard free relay in 58.01 (relay time of 3:50.08).

At CSU Bakersfield Oct. 20, Frey finished the 200 yard Freestyle in 2:03.04 and ranked sixth ... swam the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 56.97, finish eighth.

At Idaho Oct. 13, Frey swam third leg of fourth-place 400 free relay in 58.73 (relay time 3:52.65) ... swam the 100 yard freestyle in 57.36, taking sixth ... swam 100 Fly in 1:07.70.

At Washington State Oct. 12, Frey swam the 50 yard Freestyle in 26.55, taking sixth place ... swam the 100 yard Butterfly and took fifth place, finishing in 1:07.09.

2011-12: On Oct. 22, Frey swam the 200 freestyle in 2:07.85, finishing eleventh ... finished twelfth in the 50 freestyle with a time of 26.81 ... swam the 100 freestyle in 58.56.

In a meet against Oregon State (Oct. 29), Frey swam the 50 yard Freestyle in 27.19... competed in the 100 yard Freestyle with a time of 59.48... took seventh in the 200 yard Freestyle Relay with a relay time of 1:46.30 .

In a home meet versus Boise State (Nov. 19), Frey swam anchor leg of the 200 yard medley relay in 27.28 (team time of 1:59.05) ...  swam 50 free in 27.27 ... 100 free in 59.44 ... participated in 100 fly.

At Husky Invitational (Dec. 2-4), Frey swam the 100 yard freestyle in 56.96, a personal season-best ... swam 100 fly in 1:05.23.

In dual meet versus Simon Fraser (Jan. 20), swam anchor leg of 200 yard medley relay in 26.01 (relay time 1:56.41) ... swam 100 free in 57.13 ... swam first leg of 200 free relay in 26.97 (relay time 1:47.80).

In home meet versus Simon Fraser and Washington State (Jan. 21), swam 50 yard free in 27.25 ... swam 100 fly in 1:06.57 ... anchored 400 free relay with leg of 59.22 (relay time 3:52.97).

At Nevada Jan. 28, swam 50 yard freestyle in 27.13 ... swam 100 free in 59.39 ... swam anchor leg of 400 free relay in 59.13 (relay time 3:52.54).

2010-11: Frey joined the Seattle University swimming program as a freshman.

At Seattle U's home meet against Simon Fraser on Nov. 13, Frey swam the final leg on the third-place 400 medley relay team (4:24.02) ... Placed fifth in the 100 freestyle with a time of 59.46 

Against Nevada on Jan. 29, Frey swam the final leg on the fourth-place 200 medley relay in 27.27 (1:58.68)

On Feb. 5 against Boise St. and Oregon St., she finished the 50 freestyle in 27.31 ... Swam the 100 freestyle in 59.39 ...  

High School:  Frey swam for West Seattle High School for four years.  She went to state in the 50 free in 2009 and 2010, was named team MVP 2008-2010, and was team captain her senior year.  She also ran two years of cross country and played softball one year for the Wildcats.  In 2008 she was named Cross Country MVP.  Frey was also a member of the National Honor Society. 

Club Experience: Frey was a member of Whitewater Aquatics from 2004 to 2009.  She won the Paul Robeson Award twice. 

Personal: Full name is Melanie Jane Frey. Parents are Kristie and Jeff Frey, and she has a younger brother named Rhyse. Frey is an environmental science major.
