SEATTLE – (June 4) Seattle University women’s swimming has announced the signing of five newcomers for the upcoming season.

Sarah Carr, Marissa Chan, Olivia Gabanek, Emma McGill, and Madi Ohrman have signed with Coach Craig Nisgor’s program as part of the Class of 2022.

“The five women we have bring a lot to our team with everything,” said Nisgor. “They are strong in the pool, classroom and in all that they do. All of them are a great fit for Seattle University and our program. We have been watching them all through this year and are excited by how they have been improving. Sarah and Emma have done times that would already make our all-time top 10 list in school history and we know that there is much more ahead.”

Carr, a Newberg, Ore., native, competed for Canby Gators Swim Club for four years and swam at Wilsonville High. She took Wilsonville’s Athlete of the Year Award two times. Carr helped Canby Gators win the Oregon state title in 2017.
