ORINDA, Calif. – (April 15) Seattle University's varsity four took first place as the Redhawk women's rowing team competed in a trio of events against Saint Mary's and Santa Clara at Briones Reservoir Saturday.

The V4+ easily took first place in 8:16.41, ahead of second-place Saint Mary's (8:37.63) and third-place Santa Clara (8:56.00). The Redhawks' V8+ was third in the field in 7:16.88 while the N8+, competing against a pair of 2V8+ boats, took third in 7:37.20.

Seattle U returns to action on April. 28-29 for the Western Intercollegiate Rowing Association Championships on Lake Natoma in Rancho Cordova, Calif.
