SEATTLE – (Oct. 10) Seattle University Athletics has rounded out its external relations staff with a pair of new faces as the 2017-18 academic year gets fully underway. Eric Guttorp has been hired as the Assistant Athletic Director for Marketing & Fan Engagement and Leslie Elison is the new Director of Corporate Partnerships.

Guttorp has worked at the University of Washington in various capacities since 2013. He most recently served as the Assistant Director of Marketing Outreach, overseeing marketing for the Huskies’ nine ticketed sports. He helped build communication plans and organized events to help boost attendance at home contests.

“Eric is a winning addition to our leadership team,” said Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs Mary Lee Gilliland. “He will change our games with his talent in marketing and years of success in fan and game day experience.”

Previously, Guttorp worked as the Assistant Director of Marketing and Game Day Experience at UW. He was a placekicker for the Huskies’ football team from 2008-12, earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees from Washington.

Elison comes to Seattle U from the Movember Foundation in Culver City, Calif., where she spent the last year as the U.S. Senior Partnerships Manager for the group. Elison worked with companies such as Jeep, Amazon, Fossil and Pressed Juicery, and was responsible for the partner portfolio that generated funds, awareness and reach for the Movember Foundation across the US market.

“Leslie will deliver the expertise we are looking for in strategic partnerships,” said Gilliland. “She will create innovative solutions for our partners.”

Elison has held multiple roles at the Movember Foundation for more than five years. A two-time Cal State Long Beach graduate, Elison has also worked at Run Racing, AEG Worldwide, and TRX Training in California.
